Ravindra Bhavan Sankhali, is one of the state of the art project set up in Sankhali under the Department of Art and culture, government of Goa, which was inaugurated on 16-12-2013.
The Ravindra Bhavan Sankhali aim at fostering, developing and promoting dance, music, literature and fine art and to encourage and assist production of new play by awarding prizes and distinction. We are bound to encourage the development of dramatic activities in children in its various forms and to promote Ravindra Bhavan Sankhali.
“Ravindra Bhavan Sankhali is having an Auditorium which is named as “Manoharbuva Shirgaonkar Sabhagrah” after a great legend in the filed of Goan Bhajan Late Shi. Manoharbuva Shirgaonkar, having 786 seating capacity. It is a triple purpose auditorium i.e. it can be used for performing arts, movies, and also for seminars. It has been provided with contemporary audio, video and lighting system. The building is a state-of-the art building where latest construction technology has been adopted and modern materials have been used externally as well as internally. An open air Theatre is also constructed next to the main auditorium which is having around 900 seating capacity.
Built over a plot area of 30067.57 sq .m. with ample parking spaces with well-designed drive ways for VIPs and general Public. The main auditorium building mainly comprising of Main Auditorium,
Projector room, Entrance lobby, Holding area, Reception , Ticketing counters, conference room, room for chairman, vice-chairman and member secretary, Green room, Cry room, snack Area, Exhibition area, corridor and staircases
along with ample storage space, Toilet blocks, the total built area is 4909.82 sq. m.
